Saying goodbye to our volunteers

Lumi Hultkrantz

Our Events & Membership team thanks Lumi her great work during her 7-month ESC experience. Her innovative ideas greatly contributed to the success of Organics Europe’s 2024 Youth Event in Bari, Italy. Lumi took great ownership of the event and coordinated the programme, communicated with attendees and hosted the event. She also coordinated our series of “Let’s Discuss Organic” member-only webinars and supported the team with other tasks.

Maelis Juvin

Maelis was a great addition to the Project & Partnerships team during her 7-months as ESC volunteer. She contributed to the good management of our funding work, learning first-hand how to develop proposals and reports. With her fresh ideas and creativity, Maelis contributed to new communication approaches to sponsors and foundations. In her free time, she engaged with the Belgian rural community, helping farmers and participating to local farmers networks. We are happy that she volunteered with us and wish her a bright future!

Rebeca Gonzalez

Rebeca, a young professional from Barcelona, volunteered as ESC in our Research & Innovation unit for 7 months. She supported TP Organics, the European Technology Platform for Research & Innovation into Organics and Agroecology in its communication and events. We thank Rebeca for her motivation and contributions.

About the ESC Programme

The European Solidarity Corps (ESC) provides young people residing in Europe with the unique chance to express their personal commitment through a full-time voluntary activity in a foreign country for a period of up to 1 year. Young volunteers can develop new skills and, therefore, improve their personal, educational and professional development. More information about ESC is available on the ESC website

Are you interested in the organic movement and want to experience its day-to-day work? Stay tuned and be ready to apply – you could be part of our team!

The volunteering project is funded by the European Solidarity Corps programme of the European Union. The sole responsibility of the content lies with the author and communication reflects only the author’s view. The National Agency and the European Commission are not responsible for any use that may be made of the information provided.

Giulia Kessous

Giulia was part of our team an Erasmus student for 6 months. With her previous experience in organic and her motivation, she greatly contributed to the policy team’s policy and advocacy work. Giulia worked on several topics including water and climate, and was instrumental in creating an advocacy toolkit for IFOAM Organics Europe’s members. We will miss her professionalism, high-quality work and passion for organic. We wish her all the best in her new personal and professional adventures!
