CDG meeting on organic farming: Agroforestry, plant protection & compliance
Organic stakeholders exchanged with the Commission on synergies between agroforestry and organic, plant protection products and the regulatory switch from equivalence to compliance during the May Civil Dialogue Group (CDG) on organic farming.
Our members shared their expertise on various subjects like the state of the Organic Market, Sustainable Public Procurement and the benefits of organic’s approach to plant health. Our members find a debrief, presentations and agenda on our member extranet > Civil Dialogue Group > Meetings documents.

How do Civil Dialogue Groups (CDGs) work and how can you get involved?
The European Commission’s Directorate General for Agriculture and Rural Development (DG AGRI) regularly consults and discusses policy options with stakeholders in the Civil Dialogue Groups (CDGs). IFOAM Organics Europe’s office staff, members and experts are part of all groups relevant for organic production to ensure the organic’s voice is heard.
Option 1: Assigned member
Assigned members of a CDG can attend CDG meetings and have the right to take the floor. They are assigned following a short and easy application process. IFOAM Organics Europe members who are interested in a seat in the CDGs can write to [email protected]. Following your application, our Board assigns the selected members for a two-years mandate.
Option 2: Observer
It is also possible to join CDG meetings as an observer (online). We make the observer link available to all our members on member extranet > Civil Dialogue Group > Events.
